When Austin Seferian-Jenkins was recruited, Coach Sark promised him the opportunity to play basketball, if he wished, along with football.  For Austin, the time to make that decision came yesterday, and he approached Coach Sark, not to ask permission to play, but rather what his head coach’s opinion would be.  ”I knew I had Coach Sark’s permission because he promised me when he recruited me, and Coach Sark is always true to his word.  I really just wanted to talk to him about the pros and cons of playing basketball, and he was very helpful,” said Austin.  The significance of this isn’t necessarily just about Austin playing basketball, but it is about the relationship between this player and and his head coach.
