The Dawgs are excited to play under the lights at CenturyLink this season, but our other home is 500 days away from its completion! UW Athletic Director, Scott Woodward spoke on the great progress being made on Husky Stadium.
We know your Saturday is already booked up with the Dawgs’ Spring Game, but if Sunday is open for you then make your way up to Greenlake for a great cause, free doughnuts, and running. Top Pot Doughnuts hosts its third annual 5K Top Pot Doughnut Dash this Sunday, April 29. All proceeds will go to Childhaven, an organization that provides a safe haven for children and a healing place for families. We’d love to see Husky fans out there supporting a great cause!
ESPN is holding a contest where the school with the most votes will get a CollegeGameDay Commercial filmed on their campus. The voting ends May 2nd at 11:59pm. Dawg fans, we NEED to make this happen. Get out there and vote today!
The countdown clock is showing less than seven days until the Huskies take the field at CenturyLink. This is the grand finale of Spring Ball and you do not want to miss it. The team will be going head-to-head in a Husky Showdown. Take some time to test out that new grill you got for tailgating and come see the Dawgs for the last time until the fall.
As we speak highlight films and music are being put together to match the hype that will be on the field. The schedule starts in the fall, but Football Starts Now. And one more thing:
The team bus is loading up as we write. The Dawgs are practicing under the Space Needle in Memorial Stadium at the Seattle Center today. Get down there and get one of the first glimpses at your 2012 Husky Football team. Practice starts at 11am. And one more thing:
Running. Donuts. A great cause. The Top Pot 5K has it all. Mark your calendars for Sunday, April 29 as Top Pot Doughnuts is hosting its third annual 5K run. All proceeds will go to Childhaven.org, and we’d love to see some Husky fans out there!
