Congratulations to Shaq Thompson who was drafted earlier today by the Boston Red Sox in the 18th Round of the MLB Draft! Of course, Jake Locker was another Husky who signed with a professional baseball team (the Angels) back in 2009.

Could not be happier to have Shaq coming to UW. Class Act and world class athlete. I hope that he gets a signing bonus and just stays with the dawgs a la Jake Locker. God Bless.
