Tell the Truth Monday

Coach Sark explained today during his weekly press conference that the bye week could not have come at a better time for the Huskies.

“We’ve got some things to clean up,” said Coach Sark. “This is a great opportunity for us to get right on a lot of different levels.”

The Dawgs have had some injuries that need time to heal, so the bye week is arriving at a perfect time for the team. Young guys are getting more practice reps as the team is about to enter Pac-12 play, complementing the extra time that the young guys had during the PSU contest. With the bye the team can do some extra work on an individual level that will help the overall team.

This is a modified bye week, with the Stanford game being on Thursday night. Coaches will be game planning Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, giving the players a day off at the end of the week. The Huskies will resume game preparation on Saturday as that will be considered an equivalent to a Monday with a Thursday game.

It is clear that these Dawgs carry a serious attitude when facing the current task at hand. They are ready to get to the work that is in front of them. This is about attacking the gaps and becoming a better football team.
