Tiger Tuesday
09/04/12
“Competition Tuesday” was really no different than any other “Competition Tuesday” in the past. Well, maybe one slight adjustment: the team did come out to the practice field Tuesday morning to a special guest. Sheena, a 16 month old tiger, made the trip to Seattle from Canby, Oregon to help prepare the team for Saturday’s game.
LSU is known for keeping their tiger near the opponents’ locker room and the Huskies are working on simulating the entire gameday environment from all situations both on and off the football field.
“I love college football and all the pageantry that surrounds the game,” says Coach Sark. “This was just an example of how to embrace the pageantry and prepare the Huskies for gameday.”
Competition is the foundation of the University of Washington football program and competition is about striving to find ways to get better in all facets of the craft.
The team heads to LSU on Thursday and will take on the Tigers at 6pm Central Time.

The coaches had fun meeting Sheena.
